Every year HC Company partners with the Red Cross to donate blood. It’s a simple thing to do but it can make an enormous difference in the lives of others. The American Red Cross is facing a national blood crisis – its worst blood shortage in over a decade, posing a concerning risk to patient care. 1 blood donation can potentially save up to 3 lives! If you can, please consider donating!

As of March 6th, we are celebrating two decades of building relationships and exceeding expectations! We have strived to create an experience and environment in our culture that emphasizes the importance of people and relationships above all else. The exceptional work that we produce is a byproduct of our focus on customer service. To our clients and trade partners, thank you for the opportunity to build together over the last 20 years!
This infographic highlights some milestones, including no layoffs in the 2008 recession or the COVID-19 pandemic, securing our first client Hewlett Packard, two office moves, breaking ground on the 100K SF Greyloch Manufacturing Plant, and the addition of 42 incredible employees that make up the entirety of our dream team.
To Joe Perdew’s surprise, he was led to the conference room for an immediate interview after he dropped off his resume. By a stroke of luck, there happened to be a different candidate interview at that time with a similar first and last name. The mix-up was in our favor; Joe Perdew was hired! Right before Joe entered the building that day his friend had consoled him over the phone on his enduring job search: “When it’s meant to be it will come.” We couldn’t have put it better ourselves! Welcome to the team, Joe!
Marlyssa has been an invaluable member of the team for 6 years as of 2022. She started as the receptionist and quickly moved into the Administrative Assistant role. We are pleased to announce her second promotion within the company to Contracts Manager. Congratulations, Marlyssa, and thank you for your hard work and dedication to HC Company!
We partnered with the City of Boise at Kathryn Albertson Park to care for our trees and ensure they will be available for future generations of Idahoans. Black cottonwoods and willows are unfortunately a favorite food and construction resource for beavers, which affects the habitat for a wide range of species like the Bald Eagle and the Black Horned Owl. We protect the trees by wrapping them in wire, leaving enough space for the tree to grow.
You can see the beaver damage in the photos below. Take a look next to Max McKenna’s left hand in the red glove.
HC Company’s training and development programs in action: Cameron Murphy and Wes Watts provided job site quality control training on TIPS Tilt-up Panels. They reviewed the pick plan, pour plan, and how to verify bar dimensions and placement. The team was able to see what the panels look like before they are tilted.
Advanced Sign, a major manufacturer of custom signage, held a groundbreaking ceremony today to celebrate the construction of its new 62,500-square-foot, two-story facility to accommodate its rapid growth.
The new building is being constructed to expand the company’s custom sign-making capabilities and increase efficiencies and manufacturing volume. The facility will feature skylights, training and break rooms, sales, and design offices, and manufacturing spaces for CNC cutting, finishing, large format printing, and signage assembly. The five-acre site is located at the southwest corner of Lanark Street and Olson Avenue and includes public pedestrian enhancements Olson Avenue.
Speakers included Mayor Robert Simison, Advanced Sign President Spencer Hill, and HC Company Vice President Jeremy Barber.
“Advanced Sign had an evident need for additional space during my tour of their Meridian facility last year, and I’m glad to see that come to fruition,” said Meridian Mayor Robert Simison. “They responded quickly to market demands and with the new building, along with a larger workforce, they will continue to be a great asset to our thriving community.”
From Advanced Sign Owner Spencer Hill, “I believe everyone here all lives and works in this community. I personally have spent almost my entire life in this community. My wife and I were both born and raised here. We are raising our family here in Meridian. My wife and I both graduated from Meridian High School, and both went to Boise State University. This community matters to me.”
Today, we celebrate breaking ground on the 97,000 SF Greyloch Manufacturing Plant in Star, Idaho. The facility will be located near the corner of ID-44 and ID-16. Speakers included Star Mayor Trevor Chadwick, Majority Leader Representative Mike Moyle, Greyloch President/CEO Shaun Fickes, and HC Company Partner Jeremy Barber.
